What we collect

When you use the contact form or email us, we collect your name, your email address, your organisation (optional) and your message.

You do not have to use the form. We cannot reply without your name, email address and message. Your organisation is optional.

Why we use it

To reply to your enquiry. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in answering enquiries.

To prepare a proposal, if you ask for one. Our lawful basis is taking steps at your request before a contract.

To keep the form secure. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in preventing abuse. For this we use a scrambled (hashed) form of your IP address. We use it for one hour after your last message. WordPress then removes it.

We make no automated decisions about you.

Who handles it

Your message is emailed to our mailbox and kept as a private record in our website's admin area.

Our website and mailbox are hosted by Namecheap, Inc., a company based in the United States, so your details may be stored or processed outside the UK. Ask us at info@hiddenedge.studio for details of how this transfer is protected.

Our host keeps server logs (IP address, browser and pages requested) to run and secure the site.

We do not sell your details or share them for marketing.

How long we keep it

We delete enquiries 24 months after we receive them, unless they become client work. Client records are kept for as long as the work and the law require.

Cookies

Pages you read on this site set no cookies, use no analytics and load no third-party fonts or scripts. The sign-in page for people who manage the site sets a cookie needed to sign in.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your details, and ask us to correct them, delete them or restrict how we use them.

You can object to our use of your details at any time.

Where it applies, you can ask for your details in a portable form.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we use your details, you can complain to us at info@hiddenedge.studio.

You can also complain to the Information Commission, the UK data protection regulator, known as the ICO, at ico.org.uk.
